AURA® Color Infusion Technology

Description

• Adds color to parts after they are molded or extruded
• Allows on-demand coloring and reduces colored resin and part inventories
• Intended for applications requiring multiple colors
• Not for food-contact applications

Process

Color applied to molded or extruded parts using proprietary color infusion technology. Part is immersed in coloring solution and provides an integrated color - not just a surface coloration - that doesn't rub off. Equipment can be sized to handle a wide variety of parts, from the smallest to the largest, and can be set up in customer's shop.

Colors and Special Effects

• Color added to transparent, translucent, or opaque parts. Best to use clear transparent or translucent or opaque white parts.
• Adds color, not special effects; can add color to parts made with a resin that already has metal flake or glitter, for example.
• Does not generate black, white, or light grey colors and metallic special effects.
