Dream It. Design It.
When it comes to the just right color, Jim Tansey, Quality Assurance Director of Riddell Sports, knows just what he needs — the perfect shade of gold to adorn the helmets of the pro football players in Green Bay, Wis. And with a little help from the experts at Bayer MaterialScience's (BMS) Color Competence and Design Center in Newark, Ohio, Tansey's vision of gold became a reality.
"Rather than spending several months with mailing — go there (to the Design Center), camp out, and get it done," said Tansey about BMS' Design Center. "I spent two-and-a-half days there and returned home with the colors done — compared to fighting it for six months."
To highlight the unique capabilities that the Design Center offers, BMS has developed a vibrant brochure with the theme "Dream It. Design It with Bayer MaterialScience." The brochure takes the reader on a tour through the Color Competence and Design Center and features the testimonial of Riddell Sports, a customer who utilized the team of in-house experts to develop the perfect hues for college and professional football players' helmets.
The perspective of Terry Bush, senior chemist at Bayer's color Competence and Design Center is also featured in the new brochure. His expertise and years of experience contribute to the combined 100 years of experience that the Design Center staff boasts.
With BMS' Design Center, expedience meets quality and service, and the brochure highlights how any customer's needs can be met there. The brochure also highlights LEDA compounded color technology, one of BMS' FantasiaŽ color and special effect technologies, and how the advanced color compounding technique and the expertise at the Design Center allow any color or special effect to come to life.
The brochure is part of a series of brochures deigned by the polycarbonates business unit of BMS that will be available early this year.
