Bayer MaterialScience LLC
Announces New Products

Now Bayer MaterialScience has two more solutions to help you develop the high-performance designs customers want. Introducing two new resins — the eco-compliant Bayblend® FR3041 polycarbonate blend, and the uniquely-protective Makrolon® LED2245 polycarbonate.

Bayblend® FR3041 is a polycarbonate alloy designed for high performance in thin-wall electrical applications. It is engineered to perform exceptionally well in thin-wall applications requiring high impact resistance and excellent UL flame ratings. It also complies with various eco-labeling requirements (EU Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS Directive) on the restriction of certain substances in electric and electronic (E/E) equipment and does not have to be separated from collected E/E waste, the German Blue Angel eco-labeling requirements for plastics and the Nordic Swan eco-labeling requirements for computers), making it a green solution for today's lightweight equipment.

Makrolon® LED2245 is designed to reduce the haze of bright LED lenses while transmitting light and resisting heat. Its V-2 UL-94 flame rating makes it a smart choice for demanding, high-brightness applications.
