New "Rx Medical" Colors Offer Remedy for ISO-compliance

Looking for the cure for a dated color palette? Want to inject a dose of trendy color into your medical products, while still remaining ISO compliant? Well, now you can—with four new additions to the Rx Medical family of colors, created through LEDA® compounded color technology.

The new colors join existing Rx Medical colors including "Gamma," "Scope," and "Twilight." Bayer MaterialScience has expanded this innovative color family to offer designers even more ways to treat both medical and non-medical applications to practical yet eye-catching color.

Because our polycarbonate medical grades in all four new Rx Medical colors are ISO-10993-1 compliant, they're ideal for drug delivery devices—any application where the product comes into contact with bodily fluids for 30 days or less, or blood contact for 24 hours or less.

Yet the colors are also versatile enough to bring non-medical applications back to life:
  • Give your products a jolt with "Electro." This medium-blue tempered with gray is charged with plenty of practical applications for both medical and non-medical designs. Convey confidence and keep current, all with that little bit of zing. Spark your creativity with a preview here.

  • "Stat" really keeps designs hopping. For a red-purple-gray hybrid that gets the attention—fast!—"Stat" offers a wide range of possibilities. The muted color is professional enough for medical and other applications, but still commands the attention you're looking for. Click here for a quick look.

  • Seeing is believing with "X-Ray." The cool white-gray of "X-ray" offers the perfect, subtle touch to products. A clear alternative to your usual bleach white, this versatile new shade may make you see your designs in a whole new light. Scan "X-Ray" for yourself here.

  • Make no mistake, great looks begin with "First Aid." It's no accident that this beige-brown is turning heads. The soothing neutral shade is flexible enough to work with any project that needs an understated, natural look. See "First Aid" in action. Click here.
