Going Global: Color Competence Now
Centers on Asia, Europe and the U.S.

The PCS Color Competence Centers in Ohio, Thailand, and Italy have helped Bayer MaterialScience customers solve some of their greatest challenges, replicating unique color and special effects quickly, efficiently, and with pinpoint accuracy. And soon, PCS will be able to include centers in Greater Noida, India, and Guangzhou, China as a part of that better, brighter Bayer world vision.

The new PCS Color Competence Centers in China and India are soon expected to offer customers critical support for their polycarbonate color needs, no matter how broad the global reach. Currently, the color technicians who will serve these centers are gaining invaluable training through their established color competence sister-sites around the world. From the latest color matching techniques to a wide range of other best practices, these technicians are working to leverage the best and brightest methods drawn from decades of color competence experience.

Bayer is also working to unite the world's experts in color by sharing best practices in other ways. One example of this is found in the global conference of the PCS Color Competence Centers (CCCs) held in Filago, Italy in May.

During this annual meeting, color professionals from the U.S., Thailand, Italy, China and India came together for seven full days of discussions and analysis.

Attendees took an in-depth look at color perfection and the use of colors with special functions. Automotive engineering challenges were examined, while study results on metal effects and UV light stability in auto manufacturing gave attendees new insights into the industry. Professionals gained hands-on practice with pigments... learned how to transfer technical improvements and raw materials into know-how, and so much more.

It's a high-speed, colorful world out there and BMS is working hard to match it.
